IISE Student Chapter at Virginia Tech

General Body Meetings are hosted monthly by IISE @ VT to keep members engaged and informed on the many happenings within IISE at VT! Anyone is welcome to attend regardless of year, major, or involvement in the organization. Dates, times, and locations for the Fall 2024 semester will be as follows:

• IISE @ VT offers unique opportunities for members to develop professional and network with employers specifically looking to hire ISE students from Virginia Tech! Some of the most notable annual events include the Corporate Networking Reception and the Torgerson Leadership Summit. 

• Torgersen Leadership Summit 

• The Torgersen Leadership Summit (TLS) is an annual conference held by IISE @ VT in honor of Dr. Paul Torgersen, past Virginia Tech Industrial and Systems Engineering Department head and Virginia Tech president. The event seeks to provide students insight on how they can be leaders in their field upon graduation through presentations and workshops on leadership taught by experienced industry professionals.

• Corporate Networking Reception

• The annual Corporate Networking Reception took place on Monday, September 9th, 2024 at the Goodwin Atrium from 5:00 - 8:00 pm EST. We had a great turn out! Thanks for coming.

 

• Members of IISE @ VT are provided the opportunity to attend both regional and national conferences each year. The 2025 IISE Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference will be hosted at the University of Tennessee.

  The 2025 IISE National Conference will be held in Atlanta, Georgia. Information about applying to attend these 2025 conferences will be released in Spring 2025. For now, we hope you enjoy these highlights from this past year’s conferences!
